About the Journal

Tawazun: Jurnal Pendidikan Islam is a peer-reviewed, open-access scholarly journal published by the Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (LPPM), Universitas Ibn Khaldun Bogor, Indonesia, in collaboration with the Perkumpulan Program Studi Pendidikan Agama Islam Indonesia. The journal is dedicated to advancing scholarly research, critical inquiry, and innovative practices in the field of Islamic education. It provides a platform for researchers, academics, educators, practitioners, and scholars to disseminate original research and engage in scholarly discussions on contemporary issues and developments in Islamic education.
Tawazun publishes original research articles, conceptual and theoretical papers, and scholarly studies that contribute to the development of knowledge, theory, policy, and practice in Islamic education. The journal welcomes interdisciplinary, multidisciplinary, and comparative perspectives that connect Islamic educational thought and practice with contemporary developments in education, society, science, technology, and culture.
The scope of Tawazun: Jurnal Pendidikan Islam covers Islamic Education Management, Islamic Educational Thought, Islamic Science and Education, Islamic Education Curriculum and Learning, Islamic Religious Education, Guidance and Counseling in Islamic Education, and Contemporary Issues in Islamic Education, including topics related to educational leadership, Islamic educational philosophy, the integration of Islam and science, curriculum and learning, student development, counseling, educational technology, artificial intelligence, globalization, character education, and other current issues in Islamic education.
Tawazun: Jurnal Pendidikan Islam employs a double-blind peer-review process to ensure the quality, objectivity, and academic integrity of published manuscripts, with each manuscript undergoing an initial editorial screening and subsequent evaluation by qualified reviewers with relevant expertise before a final publication decision is made. The journal is published three times a year, in April, August, and December, with E-ISSN 2654-5845. Tawazun: Jurnal Pendidikan Islam is nationally accredited at Sinta 3 based on the Decree of the Director General of Higher Education, Research and Technology No. 230/E/KPT/2022, covering the 2022–2026 accreditation period. The journal is indexed and discoverable through scholarly information services, including Google Scholar, Garuda, and Dimensions.
